Alternative Rock Shows

This summer will be a major season for anyone that likes to attend alternative rock shows and festivals. Most American and European cities have a full slate of upcoming events as many of the hottest names in alternative rock head out on tour. In the United States, the premier event will be Bonnaroo, a four day festival in Manchester, Tennessee that is packed to the gills with talent, including alternative headliners such as Arcade Fire, The Black Keys, and The Decemberists.

Across the pond, there are many shows to be seen as well. Top music experts are predicting that the annual festival at Leeds in England to be one of the major stops of the summer. Although the Leeds festival is slightly smaller than Bonnaroo, the music is largely alternative, with a separate alternative stage featuring Madness and The Offspring. In addition to the festivals, many bands are leading a tour of their own, with many stops in a wide variety of cities.
